Responsibility
- Lead the mechanical design and development of rechargeable battery packs, chargers, and related components using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate designs for performance, durability, and safety.
- Collaborate with electrical and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electronic systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, assembly drawings, and test reports.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and scalability in high-volume production.
- Perform thermal and structural analysis to enhance product reliability under various operating conditions.
- Support supplier selection and management, ensuring components meet quality and performance specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in battery and energy storage systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in battery, electronics, or consumer product development.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent) and FEA/thermal analysis software.
- Strong understanding of material selection, manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal), and DFM/DFA principles.
- Experience with product testing, validation, and certification (e.g., UL, IEC, CE).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with battery chemistry, safety standards (e.g., UN 38.3), and thermal management systems is a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are beneficial for regional collaboration.
