Responsibility
- Develop and refine 2D/3D engineering drawings for mould tooling using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Conduct comprehensive design reviews and validate designs through CAE analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize tooling designs for cost-efficiency and manufacturability.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during prototyping and production phases.
- Maintain accurate documentation of design iterations, revisions, and engineering change orders.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in mechanical engineering and tooling technologies.
- Support project timelines by delivering high-quality designs within deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in mould tooling or precision engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and CAE tools for simulation and analysis.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design execution.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and present technical findings.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems is a plus.
