As an M&E Engineer, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and supervision of all mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. Responsibility
- Develop and review M&E design drawings, schematics, and layouts to ensure alignment with project specifications and local regulations.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to integrate M&E systems seamlessly into construction plans.
- Oversee the procurement, installation, and testing of mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and electrical (power distribution, lighting, low-voltage systems) components.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with technical standards, safety protocols, and client requirements.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and as-built drawings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during construction, ensuring minimal downtime and cost overruns.
- Ensure adherence to sustainability and energy-efficiency standards in M&E system design and implementation.
- Collaborate with local authorities to secure permits, approvals, and certifications for M&E installations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., P.Eng, PE) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in M&E engineering for construction projects, preferably in Southeast Asia or tropical climates.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and BIM software for design and modeling.
- Strong knowledge of international codes (IEC, NEC, ASHRAE) and Indonesian construction regulations (e.g., SNI).
- Excellent project management and communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, vendors, and on-site teams.
- Experience with HVAC, fire suppression, electrical distribution, and smart building systems.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
