Responsibility
- Develop and maintain accurate material requirement plans (MRP) to align with production schedules and demand forecasts.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess stock, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to streamline material flow and resolve supply chain bottlenecks.
- Utilize Oracle Systems or similar ERP tools to track material movements, generate reports, and analyze supply chain performance.
- Conduct regular demand vs. supply analysis and adjust plans to accommodate changes in production or market conditions.
- Implement just-in-time (JIT) inventory strategies to reduce holding costs and improve cash flow.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, negotiate lead times, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in materials planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP Systems or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of MRP, demand forecasting, and inventory control principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
