Responsibility
- Develop and maintain accurate material demand forecasts to support production schedules and inventory optimization.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, lead times, and supplier performance to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with quality and cost standards.
- Prepare and present reports on material planning metrics, including inventory turnover, fill rates, and supply chain efficiency.
- Implement and maintain best practices for material planning, including safety stock calculations and reorder point strategies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and sustainability standards in all material planning activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain coordination, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- Experience with demand planning tools and methodologies, such as MRP (Material Requirements Planning) or DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
