Responsibility
- Develop and maintain material planning strategies to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Utilize SAP for material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory management.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align material availability with operational demands.
- Analyze demand forecasts and adjust planning parameters to optimize inventory turnover.
- Resolve material-related issues and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
- Generate reports on material usage, lead times, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in material handling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in material planning, preferably in Oil & Gas, Aviation, Offshore Marine, or Semiconductor industries.
- Proficient in SAP MM/PP modules or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices and demand forecasting techniques.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Just-in-Time (JIT) principles is a plus.
