Responsibility
- Develop and maintain material demand forecasts based on production schedules and historical data.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials while optimizing inventory levels.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align material availability with operational needs.
- Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks to minimize disruptions.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives through efficient material planning and vendor negotiations.
- Generate reports on material usage, lead times, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to material handling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in material planning, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for supplier and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and just-in-time (JIT) principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
