Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality matcha beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, including equipment and inventory
- Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly, professional, and attentive approach
- Educate customers about matcha varieties, brewing techniques, and health benefits
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth café operations during peak hours
- Monitor stock levels of matcha powder, syrups, and other ingredients, and report shortages
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist in developing new matcha-based menu items and seasonal specials
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a barista, preferably with matcha or specialty tea preparation
- Strong knowledge of matcha grades, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Excellent communication and customer service skills in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory
- Familiarity with café POS systems is a plus
- Passion for coffee, tea, and the hospitality industry
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
