Responsibility
- Prepare and hand-pull fresh Lamian noodles on-site, demonstrating traditional techniques to customers with precision and flair.
- Ensure consistent quality, texture, and taste of noodles, adhering to authentic recipes and standards.
- Engage with diners through live cooking demonstrations, explaining the history and process of Lamian noodle-making.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to integrate hand-pulled noodles into a variety of dishes, from soups to stir-fries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, following food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Train and mentor junior staff on Lamian preparation techniques and best practices.
- Monitor inventory of noodle-making ingredients and equipment, ensuring timely restocking.
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative Lamian-based dishes that align with customer preferences.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Lamian Chef or Hand-Pulled Noodle Specialist in a restaurant or culinary setting.
- Proven expertise in traditional hand-pulling techniques, with the ability to create consistent, high-quality noodles.
- Strong knowledge of Asian cuisine, particularly Northern Chinese dishes featuring Lamian noodles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with customers and team members.
