Responsibility
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain marine electrical systems, including engine control, automation, and power distribution.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with maritime safety standards.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system upgrades or modifications.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for maintenance activities and system performance.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for marine vessels in operation or under repair.
- Ensure adherence to international maritime regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL) and industry best practices.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and crew members on electrical system operations and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in marine electrical systems, automation, or engine control.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing marine electrical components (e.g., generators, switchgear, PLCs).
- Familiarity with maritime industry standards, including IEC, IEEE, and ABS/Class NK regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments.
- Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels or at overseas locations as required.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian) are a plus.
- Valid marine engineering certifications (e.g., STCW, ETO) are highly advantageous.
