Responsibility
- Develop and execute sales strategies to promote Garminâs marine products, including chartplotters, fishfinders, and autopilots, to commercial and recreational clients in Southeast Asia.
- Provide technical expertise and product demonstrations to customers, addressing their needs and recommending tailored solutions for marine navigation and communication.
- Collaborate with distributors, dealers, and marine industry partners to expand market reach and drive revenue growth.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients and sales teams to ensure deep product knowledge and effective use of Garmin marine technology.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and sales optimization.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, presentations, and reports to support sales efforts and client engagements.
- Work closely with Garminâs engineering and product development teams to provide customer insights and contribute to future product enhancements.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or marine industry roles, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong technical understanding of marine electronics, including chartplotters, fishfinders, sonars, and autopilot systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience working with distributors, dealers, or marine industry partners in Southeast Asia is a plus.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin) are advantageous.
- Willingness to travel regionally for client meetings, trade shows, and training sessions.
