Responsibility
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on marine mechanical systems, including engines, pumps, and hydraulic equipment.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical components in power generation, industrial, and utility projects.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to install, test, and commission new mechanical systems and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME), and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including work logs, schematics, and maintenance reports.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and propose cost-effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the procurement and inventory management of spare parts and tools.
- Provide on-site support for emergency repairs and system optimizations as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in marine, industrial, or power plant mechanical systems.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel engine systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance software (e.g., CMMS) is a plus.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environments (including confined spaces or offshore).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid certifications (e.g., STCW, OSHA) for marine/industrial safety are advantageous.
