Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on marine automation systems, including PLCs, sensors, and control panels.
- Diagnose technical faults using specialized diagnostic tools and software to ensure minimal downtime.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of new automation systems and upgrades on vessels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues in marine automation systems, including HMI and SCADA interfaces.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications for compliance and future reference.
- Provide technical support and training to vessel crew on the operation and basic troubleshooting of automation systems.
- Ensure all work adheres to international maritime safety standards and company protocols.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in marine automation, industrial control systems, or a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial automation protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus).
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting automation systems.
- Familiarity with marine industry standards (e.g., SOLAS, DNV, ABS) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments.
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels as required.
