Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and streamline operations.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to introduce new products and enhance existing ones.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and PFMEAs.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Evaluate and recommend capital equipment, tooling, and automation solutions to support scaling.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, FDA) and internal quality systems.
- Train and mentor production staff on best practices, safety protocols, and new technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in precision engineering or photonics.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram) and problem-solving methodologies.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485) is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
