Responsibility
- Execute manual test cases to identify software defects in retail banking applications.
- Document and report bugs with clear, reproducible steps for development teams.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to refine requirements and test scenarios.
- Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements.
- Perform regression testing to ensure new features do not impact existing functionality.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Validate fixes and verify the resolution of reported issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in manual testing, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Experience with test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail).
- Familiarity with retail banking systems (e.g., core banking, payment processing, or digital banking platforms).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- ISTQB or other QA certifications are a plus.
