Responsibility
- Translate written and verbal communications between Mandarin and Indonesian/English with high accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Assist in business meetings, negotiations, and conferences by providing real-time interpretation.
- Review and localize company documents, contracts, and marketing materials to ensure linguistic and cultural appropriateness.
- Facilitate communication between Chinese and Indonesian teams, ensuring clarity and alignment on project goals.
- Maintain a glossary of industry-specific terminology to ensure consistency across translations.
- Proofread and edit translated content for grammar, tone, and context.
- Support the HR and administrative teams in onboarding international employees or clients.
- Stay updated on language trends, cultural nuances, and industry jargon relevant to the role.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) and Indonesian; proficiency in English is a plus.
- Proven experience as a translator, interpreter, or in a similar linguistic role (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of business, legal, or technical terminology (depending on industry focus).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with translation tools (e.g., CAT tools, glossaries) is advantageous.
- Cultural awareness and ability to adapt communication styles for different audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
