Responsibility
- Design and deliver interactive Mandarin language lessons tailored to students of varying proficiency levels (HSK 1–6 or equivalent).
- Develop curriculum materials, including lesson plans, worksheets, and digital resources, aligned with international standards.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, oral exams, and written tests, providing constructive feedback.
- Incorporate cultural elements (e.g., calligraphy, festivals, traditions) to enhance language immersion.
- Collaborate with colleagues to organize language workshops, cultural events, or exchange programs.
- Utilize modern teaching aids (e.g., multimedia, apps, gamification) to improve engagement and retention.
- Maintain accurate attendance and progress records, reporting to school administrators as required.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide updates on student development.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (HSK Level 6 or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience (Mandarin as a foreign/second language is a plus).
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills to engage diverse student groups.
- Familiarity with communicative teaching methods (e.g., TPR, task-based learning).
- Ability to adapt lessons for different age groups (children, teens, or adults).
- Proficiency in English (required for coordination with staff and non-Mandarin-speaking students).
- TEFL/TESOL or Mandarin teaching certification (e.g., CTCSOL) is advantageous.
