Responsibility
- Lead and manage the development of academic and industry collaboration programs within the Institute for Design and Engineering Leadership.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of workshops, seminars, and conferences to promote thought leadership.
- Foster partnerships with global industry leaders, startups, and academic institutions to enhance the institute’s reputation and reach.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract top talent, including faculty, researchers, and students, to the institute’s programs.
- Monitor and analyze trends in design and engineering to ensure the institute remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align the institute’s goals with the broader objectives of NUS.
- Manage budgets, resources, and administrative processes to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Represent the institute at national and international forums, conferences, and networking events.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Design, Business Administration, or a related field. A PhD is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role within academia, research, or a related industry.
- Proven track record of developing and managing strategic partnerships and collaborative programs.
- Strong understanding of design thinking, engineering principles, and their applications in real-world scenarios.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and administrative oversight.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
