Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on all kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in kitchen appliances and building systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and calibration of equipment, to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and supervisors to address equipment-related concerns and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in all maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new kitchen equipment as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff on the proper use and care of equipment to minimize misuse and damage.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a kitchen or hospitality environment.
- Technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, or refrigeration engineering is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, mixers, and dishwashers.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a bonus.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
