Responsibility
- Manage and maintain access controls for mainframe systems to ensure authorized access only.
- Enforce security policies and procedures to protect mainframe infrastructure and data.
- Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on mainframe systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and updates in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and incident response plans for mainframe environments.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001 and GDPR.
- Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on mainframe security best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mainframe security administration or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe operating systems, such as z/OS, and security tools like RACF or ACF2.
- Experience with security protocols, encryption technologies, and access control mechanisms.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or IBM Certified System Administrator, are a plus.
