Responsibility
- Conduct thorough authentication and appraisal of luxury goods, including handbags, jewelry, watches, and art.
- Research and analyze market trends, auction results, and retail pricing to determine accurate valuations.
- Prepare detailed appraisal reports with supporting documentation for clients, insurers, and legal purposes.
- Collaborate with auction houses, retailers, and private collectors to verify provenance and condition.
- Stay updated on brand-specific hallmarks, materials, and craftsmanship to ensure precise assessments.
- Provide expert consultations to clients on investment potential, resale value, and market demand.
- Maintain meticulous records of appraised items and client interactions in compliance with industry standards.
- Represent the company at luxury events, trade shows, and client meetings in Bali’s premium locations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in luxury goods valuation, authentication, or high-end retail.
- Deep knowledge of designer brands (e.g., Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès), fine jewelry, and timepieces.
- Proven ability to identify counterfeit items and assess condition (e.g., wear, repairs, modifications).
- Strong analytical and research skills with access to industry databases (e.g., Artnet, WorthPoint).
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills; fluency in English is required.
- Certification from a recognized appraisal organization (e.g., ASA, GIA) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Bali’s luxury market and its unique client demographics.
