Responsibility
- Manage and process import/export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists, to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth and timely shipments.
- Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, resolving any delays or issues that may arise during transit.
- Ensure adherence to local and international trade laws, tariffs, and regulatory requirements to avoid penalties or delays.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to optimize logistics processes.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports on logistics activities, including shipping costs, delivery times, and compliance status.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels within the logistics function.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehouse, and finance, to align logistics strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or customs compliance, preferably in the manufacturing or cosmetics industry.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade documentation.
- Proficient in using logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage complex logistics challenges.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are a plus.
