Responsibility
- Prepare, verify, and submit customs documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) for footwear exports in compliance with international trade regulations.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate clearance of shipments.
- Maintain organized records of all export documentation, including permits, certificates of origin, and inspection reports.
- Monitor shipment statuses and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies in documentation to avoid penalties or hold-ups.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, sales, finance) to gather necessary data for customs declarations.
- Stay updated on changes in customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements affecting footwear exports to key markets.
- Generate reports on export activities, including volumes, costs, and compliance metrics for management review.
- Assist in audits and inspections by providing required documentation and clarifications to authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customs documentation, export compliance, or logistics coordination, preferably in the footwear or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, HS codes, and customs procedures for exports (e.g., ASEAN, EU, US markets).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and experience with ERP or logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish) are a plus.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Incoterms 2020 and international shipping practices is highly desirable.
