Responsibility
- Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to resolve logistics-related issues and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
- Manage inventory levels and warehouse operations to optimize storage and distribution efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to negotiate favorable terms and service levels.
- Track and report key performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, freight costs, lead times) to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export/import permits.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to align logistics plans with business demand and production schedules.
- Implement and maintain logistics best practices, including continuous process improvements and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations, preferably in a global or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of incoterms, customs regulations, and international shipping procedures.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights for process optimization.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and compliance (preferred for mining/industrial sectors).
