Responsibility
- Coordinate and monitor shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Liaise with clients, carriers, and customs officials to facilitate smooth freight operations.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms.
- Track and trace shipments, providing real-time updates to stakeholders.
- Resolve any logistics-related issues or delays promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and delivery schedules.
- Assist in negotiating freight rates and contracts with carriers and suppliers.
- Support the team in optimizing logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics coordination.
- Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, customs regulations, and documentation requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and vendors.
- Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with international shipping and freight forwarding practices is a plus.
