Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain Linux-based servers and infrastructure in production and development environments.
- Automate system administration tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible to improve efficiency.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Manage user access, permissions, and security configurations to safeguard sensitive data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Linux systems with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Perform regular system updates, patch management, and backup/recovery procedures.
- Optimize server resources (CPU, memory, storage) for peak performance.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for team reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Linux System Administrator or Engineer.
- Proficiency in Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat) and command-line tools.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPN).
- Experience with virtualization (KVM, Docker) and containerization (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Perl for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a team environment.
