Responsibility
- Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders using advanced respiratory therapy techniques
- Operate and maintain ventilators, oxygen therapy equipment, and other respiratory care devices
- Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and sleep studies
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and nurses
- Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions, treatments, and preventive care
- Respond to emergency situations, including cardiac and respiratory arrests, with rapid, effective intervention
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in respiratory care
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field from an accredited institution
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license (Philippine or international equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in respiratory care (ICU/ER experience preferred)
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Strong knowledge of respiratory anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle high-pressure situations
- Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus)
