Responsibility
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and ocular health.
- Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, and glaucoma.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, tailored to patient needs.
- Provide expert advice on vision care, including preventive measures and lifestyle recommendations.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for referrals and specialized treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including the use of optical devices and protective eyewear.
- Stay updated with advancements in optometry through continuous professional development and training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Optometry from an accredited institution.
- Valid optometry license and registration in Indonesia (or eligibility for licensure).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in optometry or a related field.
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and using diagnostic equipment.
- Strong knowledge of refractive errors, ocular diseases, and vision correction methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and education.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other languages is a plus.
