Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and overall eye health.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, based on individual patient needs.
- Provide expert advice on lens materials, coatings, and frame selections to optimize vision and comfort.
- Perform precise measurements for lens centration, pupillary distance, and frame adjustments.
- Educate patients on proper eye care, lens maintenance, and the latest advancements in optical technology.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to manage patient referrals and follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in optometry and incorporate best practices into daily operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Optician License or equivalent certification recognized in Indonesia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail or clinical optometry setting.
- Proven expertise in conducting eye exams, interpreting prescriptions, and fitting optical aids.
- Strong knowledge of lens materials, frame styles, and advanced optical technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision in measurements and fittings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in English; additional fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
