Responsibility
- Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions for clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practices and client needs.
- Provide crisis intervention and psychological first aid when necessary, ensuring client safety and stability.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Facilitate workshops and psychoeducational sessions on stress management, mindfulness, and emotional regulation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Advocate for mental health awareness through community outreach and partnerships with local organizations.
- Stay updated on best practices in cross-cultural counseling and integrate culturally sensitive approaches into therapy.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid license or certification as a Mental Health Counselor (e.g., LPC, LMHC, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, preferably in multicultural settings.
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based therapies, and trauma-informed care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
- Experience working with expatriates, travelers, or diverse populations is highly desirable.
