Responsibility
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for mechanical engineering projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering to optimize project costs and resources.
- Monitor project expenditures, track variations, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to align project scope with financial constraints.
- Perform risk assessments and implement cost-control measures to prevent budget overruns.
- Review and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and procurement agreements.
- Generate detailed reports on project progress, cost forecasts, and financial performance.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Valid Licensed Mechanical Engineer certification.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Engineer in industrial or construction projects.
- Strong proficiency in cost estimation software, MS Excel, and project management tools.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Knowledge of local and international engineering standards and regulations.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
