Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive chemical and microbiological analysis of water samples to ensure compliance with national and international standards (e.g., WHO, EPA, or local regulations).
- Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration, troubleshooting, and quality control checks.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for water testing, documentation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate water quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations in all laboratory operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in water treatment technologies and analytical methods.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Valid professional license as a Chemist (required for regulatory compliance).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in water quality testing, environmental chemistry, or a similar role.
- Proficient in laboratory techniques, including spectroscopy, chromatography, and wet chemistry.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and contamination control.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025, GLP, or other quality management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and in a team under tight deadlines.
