As our Legal Counsel, you will oversee contract management, ensure compliance with local and international regulations, and mitigate legal risks to protect the company’s operations and reputation. Responsibility
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, partnerships, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with Indonesian corporate laws, industry regulations, and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks by conducting thorough due diligence and providing actionable advice to senior management.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution.
- Develop and implement company-wide legal policies, procedures, and training programs to foster a culture of compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, HR, Operations) to align legal strategies with business objectives.
- Monitor changes in local and international regulations that may impact the company’s operations and recommend proactive measures.
- Maintain and organize legal documentation, including corporate records, licenses, and permits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (S.H.) from a reputable university; a Master’s degree or additional certifications (e.g., PERADI) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in the mining, natural resources, or multinational sectors.
- Proven expertise in contract law, compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian commercial law, labor law, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian (written and verbal) is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
