Responsibility
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses in special needs education, ensuring alignment with NTUâs academic standards and global best practices.
- Conduct research in special needs education, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and present at international conferences to advance the field.
- Supervise and mentor students, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral candidates, providing guidance on research projects and academic development.
- Collaborate with schools, NGOs, and government agencies to develop and implement evidence-based interventions and policies for children with special needs.
- Lead or contribute to grant applications and secure funding for research and community outreach initiatives in special needs education.
- Engage in curriculum development and review to ensure programs remain relevant, innovative, and responsive to the evolving needs of the special education sector.
- Participate in academic and administrative committees to support the strategic goals of the PCHD Academic Group and NTU.
- Foster partnerships with local and international institutions to promote knowledge exchange and collaborative projects in special needs education.
Qualifications
- A PhD in Special Needs Education, Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- Proven experience in teaching and curriculum development at the tertiary level, with a focus on special needs education.
- Strong research background with a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences.
- Experience in securing research grants and managing funded projects is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education and evidence-based practices for children with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Experience in supervising postgraduate students and mentoring early-career researchers is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other languages is a plus.
