Responsibility
- Provide one-on-one and small-group academic support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and specialists.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet their evolving needs.
- Assist in classroom activities and adapt materials to ensure accessibility for all learners.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.
- Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and administrators to track student development.
- Utilize assistive technologies and resources to enhance learning outcomes.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in special education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with students with learning disabilities or special needs.
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and adaptive teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students overcome learning challenges.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and educational tools for diverse learners.
- Ability to create and implement individualized learning plans.
