Responsibility
- Strategic Leadership: Oversee a portfolio of mission-critical software projects, ensuring they align with Jabil’s business objectives and technological roadmap.
- Team Mentorship: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Technical Architecture: Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions using modern frameworks and best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, stakeholders, and other departments to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver seamless integrations.
- Quality Assurance: Champion code quality, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure robust, maintainable, and bug-free software.
- Innovation & R&D: Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluate emerging technologies, and drive adoption of tools that enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
- Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks and proactively mitigate them to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and promote knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Experience: 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or architectural role.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java, Python, C++, or Go, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead agile teams, manage sprints, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to tackle complex technical challenges and drive innovative solutions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing, supply chain, or IoT systems is highly desirable.
