Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, air flow, and ventilation, for life sciences facilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for mechanical engineering projects.
- Develop and implement energy-efficient and sustainable solutions to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Masterâs degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, CEng) is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical building services engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in designing and managing HVAC, air flow, and ventilation systems for life sciences or pharmaceutical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, ISO, GMP).
- Experience with energy-efficient and sustainable design practices.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and mechanical engineering simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
