Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate daily laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and garments.
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and infection control standards in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies (detergents, disinfectants, etc.) and place orders as needed to avoid shortages.
- Train, schedule, and mentor laundry staff to maintain high productivity and quality standards.
- Inspect finished laundry for quality, cleanliness, and proper handling before distribution to resident rooms or departments.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry processed, including resident-specific items and special requests.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions, coordinating repairs with maintenance teams.
- Collaborate with nursing and housekeeping teams to align laundry services with resident care schedules.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in laundry operations, preferably in a healthcare, hospital, or nursing home setting.
- Proven leadership skills with experience supervising a team of 3+ staff members.
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and healthcare laundry standards.
- Ability to operate industrial laundry equipment (washers, dryers, ironers) safely and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle high-volume workloads.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking and reporting (Excel or similar tools).
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
