Responsibility
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines, ensuring they are used safely and efficiently.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, resident clothing, and other textiles according to established procedures and hygiene standards.
- Inspect laundry items for damage, stains, or wear and tear, and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking laundry supplies and reporting low stock levels.
- Follow proper handling and disposal procedures for contaminated or soiled items to prevent cross-contamination.
- Collaborate with nursing and housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean laundry to resident rooms and facility areas.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to laundry services in a healthcare setting.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in laundry services, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting, is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of laundry equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to strict hygiene and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
