Responsibility
- Perform routine and specialized pathology laboratory tests with precision and accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze biological samples, including tissue and fluid specimens, following established protocols.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Document and report test results, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist in the development and validation of new laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Collaborate with researchers and medical professionals to support diagnostic and research initiatives.
- Adhere to strict biosafety and biohazard protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and laboratory audits to uphold accreditation standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or research pathology laboratory.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as histology, microscopy, and molecular diagnostics.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in handling sensitive biological materials.
- Knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data analysis software.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Certification or licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technologist is a plus.
- Familiarity with international laboratory standards (e.g., ISO 15189, CAP) is desirable.
