Pantech Stainless & Alloy Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Lab Technician to join our quality control team in Pasir Gudang, Johor. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our production processes by conducting rigorous chemical analysis and monitoring pickling bath solutions. Responsibility
- Conduct regular testing and chemical analysis of pickling baths to ensure adherence to production standards.
- Monitor chemical concentration levels and record data accurately into the laboratory information system.
- Notify the Shift Engineer or supervisor immediately regarding any out-of-specification test results.
- Prepare chemical solutions and reagents required for routine lab analysis.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Support the production team by providing timely feedback on bath chemistry adjustments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment in compliance with company safety policies.
- Assist in the documentation and reporting of daily quality control activities.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science-based field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on chemical testing and quality control.
- Ability to work on a rotational shift schedule as required by plant operations.
- Good command of both written and spoken Malay and English.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot process deviations.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) for data logging and reporting.
