Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain 24/7 production environments for banking applications, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Provide L1/L2 technical support, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and resolution for enterprise banking systems.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in real time.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks, including system updates, patches, and backups to ensure stability and security.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and procedural updates to improve knowledge base and operational efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support for critical banking operations.
- Assist in performance tuning and capacity planning to meet SLAs and business demands.
- Stay updated with emerging banking technologies and industry best practices to enhance support strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in IT support, production support, or banking technology environments.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, scripting (Bash, Python), and database management (SQL, Oracle).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Splunk, Zabbix) and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow).
- Familiarity with banking applications, payment systems, or financial services IT infrastructure is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 environment.
- Certifications in ITIL, Red Hat, or Oracle are advantageous.
- Willingness to work in shift-based or on-call rotations as required.
