Responsibility
- Perform end-to-end KYC due diligence for private banking clients, including individuals, corporations, and trusts.
- Verify and assess client documentation (e.g., passports, proof of address, financial statements) for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) for high-risk clients, including politically exposed persons (PEPs) and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
- Collaborate with relationship managers and compliance teams to resolve discrepancies or missing information in client profiles.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AML, CTF (Counter-Terrorism Financing), and local/international KYC regulations.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies as required.
- Utilize KYC software and databases to screen clients against sanctions lists, adverse media, and other risk factors.
- Ensure timely processing of client onboarding while adhering to strict service-level agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in KYC, AML, or compliance within banking or financial services, preferably in private banking.
- Strong understanding of KYC/CDD (Customer Due Diligence) frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., MAS, FATF, Basel III).
- Proficient in using KYC tools such as Refinitiv, LexisNexis, or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills to identify red flags or inconsistencies in client data.
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Familiarity with private banking products and client profiles is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field; ACAMS certification is a bonus.
