Responsibility
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control to maximize profitability.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders with suppliers, and minimize waste through efficient stock management.
- Lead by example during service hours, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of dishes according to established recipes.
- Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished dishes to maintain consistency and excellence.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless communication and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain kitchen equipment, report maintenance issues, and uphold workplace safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or CDP role.
- Culinary diploma or degree from a recognized institution (preferred but not mandatory for experienced candidates).
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian and international cuisines, with a passion for innovation.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle high-pressure environments.
- Familiarity with HACCP, food safety regulations, and kitchen hygiene best practices.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are a plus.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
