Responsibility
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including sanitizing workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Support the team in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to ensure freshness and compliance with safety standards.
- Help with basic cooking tasks such as mixing, stirring, and plating dishes under supervision.
- Ensure timely restocking of kitchen supplies and ingredients during service hours.
- Adhere to strict hygiene and food safety protocols to uphold health regulations.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and exceptional service delivery.
Qualifications
- No formal education required; on-the-job training provided for the right candidate.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus but not mandatory.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20-25 kg.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (training available).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
