Responsibility
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Support the team in setting up and breaking down kitchen stations before and after service.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, and organize inventory as directed.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards to comply with health regulations.
- Help with basic cooking tasks under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus, but not required.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20 kg).
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
