Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef and kitchen staff in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and marinating.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food storage areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Support the kitchen team in plating dishes according to established standards for presentation and portion control.
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and perform routine cleaning of appliances and utensils.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and tracking stock levels.
- Maintain effective communication with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and timely food delivery.
- Perform general kitchen duties as assigned by the supervisor to support daily restaurant operations.
Qualifications
- Malaysian citizen (Mandatory).
- Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe kitchen is preferred, though entry-level candidates with a strong desire to learn are welcome to apply.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (HACCP knowledge is a plus).
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle the physical demands of a busy kitchen.
- Strong work ethic with a proactive and positive attitude towards team goals.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required by the business.
