Responsibility
- Assist the head cook and kitchen staff in daily food preparation and cooking tasks.
- Prepare and portion ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping vegetables, meats, and other raw materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to hygiene and food safety standards.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including mixers, ovens, and food processors.
- Support in the plating and presentation of dishes to meet the bakery’s high standards.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking ingredient stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Follow all kitchen protocols, including proper storage of food items and waste disposal.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or bakery setting is a plus, but not required—training will be provided.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20 kg).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for cooking, baking, or the culinary arts is highly desirable.
