Responsibility
- Assist chefs in preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring components for recipes.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, including sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment according to hygiene standards.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and quality.
- Support the kitchen team in executing daily meal services, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner preparations.
- Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, and report shortages to the head chef or supervisor.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring all perishable items are properly labeled and stored at correct temperatures.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a kitchen or culinary environment (internships or apprenticeships are acceptable).
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen tools, and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 20 kg), and perform repetitive motions.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English or Indonesian.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
