Responsibility
- Assist with preparing ingredients (e.g., washing, peeling, chopping, and marinating) according to Korean recipes and standards.
- Support the kitchen team in daily food preparation and cooking tasks under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Assist in stocking and rotating inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Help with plating and presenting dishes to meet the restaurant’s high standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow instructions from chefs and kitchen managers to support efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Assistant, Prep Cook, or similar role (preferably in a Korean or Asian restaurant).
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 20 kg).
- Quick learner with a willingness to follow instructions and adapt to new techniques.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Passion for Korean cuisine and culinary arts is a plus.
